One Wybelenna Day Spa | Brisbane, AUSTRALIA

One Wybelenna, where do I even start? The moment when our car pulled into the driveway, I knew that it would be something that I’d rather keep a secret all to myself, for it is simply too good to share. The tranquillity of it all gave me instant relaxation. Designed by Shaun Lockyer Architects, One Wybelnna looked like a luxury house out of Architectural Digest, yet the combination of bluestone walls, Tallowood timber and slate features, and the abundance of greenery was actually rather inviting. We had dropped off Minibun George with the grandparents before taking a leisurely drive to One Wybelenna in Brookfield, which is only 13km away from the CBD. The other travel bunnie had a made an appointment for the two of us a couple of months in advance for an overdue couple’s treatment as the last one we had was back in the Maldives in May.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the lovely staff who then brought over some herbal tea for us to enjoy on the sunken lounge next to a hanging orb fireplace. Our spa treatment took place in a couple’s treatment room which used to the be master bedroom of the spa owner’s residence. Equipped with a spacious spa bath and outdoor seating area, the treatment room was indeed impressive and I was in disbelief that the owner could give up such a wonderful place. The treatment began with a relaxing foot soak, followed by a full body brushing to remove dead skin and stimulate blood circulation, and then we enjoyed a blissful 90 minute hot stone massage that was so relaxing, my mind started drifting until I dozed off…

Waking up and feeling rejuvenated, we were led to the spacious infinity pool and their magnesium spa for an exclusive 30-minute relaxation session which came with a glass of bubbles. Suffice to say that it was the perfect ending to the experience at this hidden oasis known as One Wybelenna.

Total Bunnie Dollars Spent: $610 including exclusive use of the magna spa and pool
