In the afternoon on the first day of our arrival, the other travel bunnie had booked us a couple’s treatment package. After dropping off Minibun George at the kids club, our Thakuru drove us to the spa where we were greeted with our therapists and some refreshing drinks. Walking into our Spa Sanctuary, I couldn’t believe my eyes; it was absolutely beautiful. Following an hour and a half of relaxing massage, we were lead into the garden by our therapists where they had set up a bubble bath for us. Next to the mosaic tiled round bathtub was a plate of freshly sliced tropical fruits and a pot of calming tea. It was heavenly and I couldn’t think a better way to spend our first afternoon on the islands.
The Spa also has several over water treatment suites which I had the pleasure of visiting as well. Whilst the Spa Sanctuary is over the top luxurious with its lush gardens, treatment villa and serene relaxation areas, there’s definitely a certain je ne sais quoi about getting a message while looking at the waves gently rolling in from afar…
