Hyatt Regency Orange County | Anaheim, USA

We woke up early around 6am on our last day in Los Angeles as we had a big day ahead of us. We had a Lux Bus to catch, which would take us all the way to Disneyland.

The trip took a little more than an hour and dropped us off at our home for the next two nights, a King Suite at the Hyatt Regency, Orange County.

Check-in wasn't available until 4:00pm, but our friendly front-desk service staff arranged for a room to be cleaned while we sipped on some hot gingerbread latte at the Starbucks located in the lobby (yes the hotel actually has an onsite Starbucks!). By the time when we finished our breakfast just before 9am, our suite was ready.

The suite was nothing lavish, in fact the décor was pretty plain and I was not a fan of the colour palette. But it was spacious for the two of us. The bed was big and comfortable, I couldn’t have asked for more given that Anaheim isn't exactly a resort destination. Everybody goes there for one reason and that's to have fun at Disneyland! Who honestly spends anytime other than snoozing in their hotels anyway?

The hotel provides a frequent shuttle bus to Disneyland for $4 per person per day with unlimited rides. The bus was also equipped with TVs to entertain the little ones, including myself. I was glued to the TV screen when Toy Story was on.

Hyatt Regency is a big hotel but it felt private, we had no trouble sleeping and our entire floor was really quiet. I found the service to be outstanding as the staff were nice and very welcoming. Just a pity our room had an inwards facing view that overlooked the huge lobby atrium instead of a view back towards disneyland.

I personally think that the Hyatt Regency is a great choice for somewhere that's extremely close to the Disneyland with a reasonably friendly price-tag.
