Grill'd Healthy Burgers, Eagle Street Pier, Brisbane City 4000
I love going to Grill'd for lunch.
It's my guilt-free destination when I have huge cravings for a mouth-watering burger with lesser calories than a KFC 'Man-Time' bun-less double down burger.
I mean, what's not to love about this place?
It has ultra-cool decor
**Beginning of a bunny's gibberish ranting: it's funny, coz every time when I see the Blah Blah wallpaper, the evil people in my life pop up in my head and I usually start imagining myself dressed up as Wonder Bunny and shooting them with a squeezable burger sauce bottle… am I evil for saying this…? End of a bunny's gibberish ranting** (slowly fading out)
It has ultra-cool menu
Last time, I ordered a 'Simon Says' ($11.90) - grilled chicken breast, avocado, crispy trim bacon, salad, relish and herbed mayo.
The other travel bunny had a 'Hot' Mama ($11.90) - grilled 100% lean beef, roasted peppers, dill pickle, cheese, tzatziki, salad and harissa paste. That burger was gooooooood.
and we ALWAYS order their chips ($3.30 & $4.30) w' herbed mayo dipping ($0.70).
Next time when you feel like having a tasty burger with fresh ingredients, why not head to Grill'd?
MOS Burger, Shop 34, Sunnybank Plaza, SUNNYBANK QLD 4109
I've noticed something recently. Almost one in ten people on my Facebook updated their status along the lines of: 'at MOS Burger' or 'checking out the new burger joint' or 'waiting in the line at MOS Burger, excited'. So I thought to myself, 'dude, I really need to see what all the fuss is about..'
So one night after work, the other travel bunny and I took a pleasant drive to Sunnybank to suss out the new burger joint in town.
For all of you out there who don't know much about MOS Burger (because I've never heard of the name until last month), it is a fast food chain that originated in Japan and apparently, they are the second largest fast food chain in Japan just after Maccas. The one that just recently opened in Sunnybank is the first MOS in Austraia.
Mountain: to stand tall and firm like a mountain;
Ocean: to have a heart that is broad and deep as the ocean; and
Sun: to have passion like the sun that never burns out.
We ordered a Wagyu Cheese burger meal and a Yakiniku Rice burger meal (total:$20.40)
The sauce in the Wagyu burger was really tasty and I quite liked the Yakiniku burger, but felt kinda weird eating it (you know, it didn't feel like I was eating a burger… anyway… )
People should be aware that the size of their burgers, isn't so big. By big, I mean, reasonably portioned to satisfy your hunger… Another thing to note is that thou shalt not tear open the wrapper, so long as thou wish to keep clean…
Overall, I think MOS Burger is a little overrated. If you want value, Maccas is the place to be, and if you prefer something healthier, I would go to Grill'd.
That's all.
Venezia - the labyrinth
It's been so long since my previous blog post about shopping in Venice. It's not that there is nothing to see in Venice, but the fact that when I was in Venice last time, when I saw the first sunbeam hits its Grand Canal, everything sparkled and I just didn't know where to start.
Venice is gorgeous, so gorgeous. The city has 400 bridges, 150 canals and truly magnificent sixteenth and seventeenth-century palaces and piazzas. It's mysterious and enchanting.
Venice is divided into 6 districts: San Marco, San Polo, Santa Croce, Cannaregio, Castello and Dorsoduro. I found it extremely difficult to get around in Venice, a point to note: everyone gets lost in Venice.
A few things which I really loved and would definitely recommend you to see…
